Packing orders at the Aljarash Home studio in Boston

A two-person studio, not a warehouse

Jennifer Johnson opened Aljarash Home in 2016 after a decade buying for New England interiors firms. The idea was simple: carry fewer things, know exactly where each one comes from, and answer the phone when a customer calls.

Today the studio is still small. Orders are picked and wrapped by hand in recycled kraft honeycomb, checked against the packing list twice, and handed to USPS and UPS at the end of each business day.

  • Every maker visited in person before we buy
  • Ceramics and glass double-boxed as standard
  • Damaged in transit? Replaced free, no photo argument

What customers say

A selection of feedback left with our order follow-up email.

“The dinner set arrived two days early and every single plate was perfect. You can tell someone packed it carefully rather than a machine.”

Marta R. — Somerville, MA

“I called with a question about linen sizing and spoke to Jennifer herself. That never happens anymore. Bedding is beautiful.”

Daniel K. — Providence, RI

“One mug arrived chipped, they shipped a replacement the same afternoon without asking me to jump through hoops.”

Priya S. — Hartford, CT
