1. Who we are

2. Information we collect
- Order information — name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number and the contents of your order.
- Payment information — processed directly by our PCI-DSS compliant payment provider. We receive only the card brand, the last four digits and the authorisation result. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Contact information — anything you send us by email, phone or the contact form on this site.
- Technical information — IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and pages viewed, collected through cookies and server logs.
3. Why we use it
To process and deliver orders, to handle returns and refunds, to answer your questions, to keep accounting records required by U.S. tax law, to protect the site against fraud and abuse, and — with your consent — to measure how the website is used and to send occasional email updates.
4. Legal bases
We process order data to perform our contract with you, contact data on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, tax records to comply with legal obligations, and analytics or marketing data only with your consent.
5. Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary with: our payment processor; our shipping carriers (USPS and UPS) to deliver your parcel; our email and website hosting providers; and our accountant. We may also disclose information where required by law. We never sell your personal information.
6. Advertising partners
With your consent we use Microsoft Advertising (Bing) and similar advertising services to measure the performance of our advertising. These services may set cookies and receive a record of pages you visit on this site. You can withdraw consent at any time via the cookie banner or the Cookie Policy page.
7. How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are kept for seven years to meet U.S. tax requirements. Contact form messages are kept for 24 months. Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Marketing consents are kept until you withdraw them.
8. Your rights
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, or withdraw consent at any time. Massachusetts and other state residents may have additional rights, including the right not to have personal information sold or shared — we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. Email Jennifer@shop.aljarash.com with the subject "Privacy request" and we will respond within 30 days.
9. Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to order data is limited to the two people who run the business and protected by unique accounts and two-factor authentication. Payment card data never reaches our systems.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page and, for material changes, tell customers by email.
